Irvine Art & Music Return & Exchange Policy

"No Hassle" Return Policy

  • If you're not satisfied with a new product, return it within 14 days for a refund, in-house credit, or exchange.

  • If your purchase included free shipping, the shipping cost will be deducted from your refund or credit. 

  • If you return your product in-store, you can avoid paying return shipping charges and will not need a return authorization code.

Defective products

For defective or incorrect items, please notify us within 7 days of receipt. 

If you believe you've received a defective product, please contact our support team at info@irvineartandmusic.com, and we will promptly respond with assistance or provide a return authorization (RA) number. Our dedicated specialists are here to assist you. For "used" items that malfunction or fail within 14 days of purchase and have not been abused or misused, you may return them for an in-house credit, minus the cost of shipping.

General Return Period

  • 14 Days: Most items can be returned within 14 days of purchase. Items must be in original condition with all accessories and packaging.

  • 7 Days: In-store purchases must be returned within 7 days from the transaction date.

  • Warranty Returns: If your item fails under warranty within 14 days, we'll cover shipping costs within the US to replace it.

Special Return Periods

  • 7 Days: Any Electronics, Recording devices, DJ equipment, Digital workstations, keyboards, Digital pianos, rack signal processors, and lighting/fog machines.

  • 3 Days: Vintage instruments 

How to Make a Return

  1. Email us at info@irvineartandmusic.com to request a return - please include 
  2. Order number and Reason for return
  3. We’ll provide a return label and RMA number.
  4. Pack Your Item: Use the original packaging, including double boxes if provided.
  5. Ship It Back: Send your return to:

  6. Refund/Replacement: Once received, we’ll process your return within 3 business days

In-Store Returns

  • Bring your order confirmation email or packing slip.

  • Credit will be issued immediately.

  • No return authorization code needed.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return:

  • Clearance sale and open box items, items identified as non-returnable, discontinued items, Apple hardware, computers, opened software, electronic software downloads, books, CDs, videos, vinyl records, turntable cartridges, tubes, earphones, in ear buds, earplugs and in ear monitors, fog fluid, harmonicas, recorders, cleaning products, demo gear, special orders, bows, reeds, mouthpieces, certain instrument parts, and etc. -- both custom/special orders and items we don’t stock.

  • Used items

  • Oversized or overweight items

  • Rent-to-buy instruments 

  • B & C Stock Products 

Special Order Policy:

Special orders require a minimum 100% deposit.
No returns on special orders or non-stock merchandise.
Deposits and special orders are non-refundable and cannot be canceled.
We're not responsible for production delays or unforeseen circumstances.

 

Eligibility for Exchange

  • Items must be exchanged within 14 days of the purchase date. 7 days for in-store and 14 days for online.
  • Items must be in new, unused condition with all original packaging, tags, and accessories intact.
  • A valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is required for all exchanges.

Exchanges for Higher-Priced and Lower-Priced Items

  • If you are exchanging an item for a higher-priced product, you will need to pay the difference in price at the time of exchange.
  • If you are exchanging an item for a lower-priced product, the difference will be refunded to you in the original form of payment used for the purchase.

Restocking Fee

Restocking fees are as follows, listed as the % of item’s purchase price. To avoid restocking fees, ensure that the item is returned in unused condition with all original packaging.

Request an Exchange

  1. In-Store Exchanges: Bring your item and receipt to our store, and our staff will assist you.
  2. Online Exchanges: For online purchases, please contact us at info@irvineartandmusic.com to initiate the process. Once approved, return the item using a trackable shipping method. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the product is defective or incorrect.

Used Gear Guarantee Policy

  • No Returns Unless Defective: Used gear can only be returned within 14 days if it malfunctions or fails (not due to misuse).

  • In-Store Credit: Returns of defective used gear are eligible for in-house credit, minus shipping costs.

Fees & Final Sale Items

  • Sanitization Fees: $10 for woodwind/brass instruments.

  • Restocking Fees: 10% minimum for electronics and DJ products.

  • Final Sale Items: No returns, exchanges, or refunds unless faulty.

Abuse of Return Privileges

At Irvine Art and Music, our return policy is designed to ensure that our customers receive the right gear for their needs. However, to maintain the integrity of this policy, we reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to limit or suspend return privileges for customers who misuse or attempt to circumvent our return policy. This includes, but is not limited to, excessive returns or attempts to return items that are no longer in brand-new condition.

Price Match and Final Sale Policy

Price Match Sales:
All price match sales are considered final sales. Once a price match has been applied, the purchase is non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable.
